Bodega
This is a very special project that I had the opportunity to create for Bodega Design Studio, a furniture and design label based in Costa Rica, while I was a communication intern in 2023.
The brand is very colorful and fun and aligns perfectly with my values, so the creativity flowed very easily.
I made a campaign for their anniversary that included a 2D animation, an animated flipbook, gifs, stickers, and event invite designs.
The Flipbook & The Animation
I started the project with the idea of the animated flipbook. I had always wanted to see how they were made and I love learning through creating. There’s something magic about flipbooks, it’s print that moves, and exploring that idea excited me.
The first thing we had to do was the animation. Working with Ann, the creative director, was amazing. Our ideas bounced back and forth and there was a lot of space for creativity.

Expanding the Project
We agreed that we could use the illustrations and designs for further products and communication, so we decided to create gifs, stickers, and invites to celebrate Bodega’s anniversary.
Concepts and Making of
The Concept
When I first arrived at Bodega, miniature prototypes of their furniture caught my eye. I love small objects, and that was the initial spark for the concept of this project. I offered three proposals to Bodega, but we landed on A Chameleon’s Home: terrarium filled with Bodega’s minis.

The Storyboard
Our story is divided in three parts, and each has its own color. First we see how the cabinet is crafted. We wanted to show how each piece that comes from Bodega goes through a workers hands, and is very much handcrafted. The second part is about making the furniture your own, decorating and putting you stuff into your brand new purchase. And then, comes the final reveal, and the fun twist, showing the chameleon’s house filled with Bodega’s best sellers.
